About
Our dogs naturally use their sense of smell to take in information from the environment. Having evolved as a crucial survival mechanism, they need absolutly no help from us to sniff aut any thing that is interesting or valuable to them. Watching a dog work odour has led a lot of us down the road of training scent work for the various games and competitions that are now avalible. When we begin to train our dogs to find competition target odours like birch, clove, anise, and cypress, this natural ability will often make the initial part of the jounrey seem quite easy, until we see confusion creeping in! We might begin to see some false alerts that confuse us, maybe leaving the hides once they have found them here and there or more focus on us than we would like… Who is this course for?
